I founded Corazón de Hierro after being diagnosed with anemia in 2022, an experience that revealed how something as basic as nutrition can shape energy, learning, and long-term potential. What began as a personal challenge became a responsibility to act.
The initiative focuses on collecting lentils and monetary donations to provide a consistent, accessible source of iron to children who need it most. To date, we have raised over S/ 1,600, all directed toward purchasing lentils. Each contribution is transformed into a structured kit, with portions measured, packaged, and accompanied by a simple recipe to ensure practical use within families.
Before launching the project, I personally sent the children Christmas gifts as a way to encourage their academic motivation and remind them that their effort and potential matter going into the new school year.
