I founded Corazón de Hierro because I grew up battling anemia since 2022. At the time, I didn’t fully understand how deeply nutrition affects energy, learning, and overall quality of life. That experience stayed with me-and became the reason I wanted to raise awareness about anemia and take concrete action.
Today, Corazón de Hierro focuses on collecting donations of lentil bags or monetary contributions to provide an affordable, iron-rich food to children who need it most. So far, we have raised over S/ 1,600, all of which will be used to purchase lentils.
Each portion is carefully measured, packed, and delivered with a simple recipe card.
Our first official distribution will take place in Cañete, Peru, at a primary school, aligned with the start of the school year in March. As a small gesture ahead of this launch, we sent the children a Christmas gift to let them know what’s coming—and they surprised us by creating hand-drawn posters for Corazón de Hierro.
